DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH judges that there is a communication problem with the blind spot monitor sensor RH.

Note


  • When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH)


    1. Disconnect the Q51 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q50 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q51-1 (CA2P) - Q50-1 (CA2P) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q51-6 (CA2N) - Q50-6 (CA2N) Always Below 1 Ω

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)


    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Q51-5 (BRB) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH GROUND TERMINAL)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Q51-10 (BRGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. REPLACE BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH


    1. Replace the blind spot monitor sensor RH.

  5. RECHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Clear DTCs
    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      No DTCs are output.
