DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

  • Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on


  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator

  • Outer mirror RH

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly RH

  • Wire harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly RH

Note:

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      1. Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Clear DTCs


    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.


      1. Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes


      OK
      No DTCs are output.
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

  2. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the Q51 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the N9 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q51-4 (OMIR) - N9-13 (BDSR) Always Below 1 Ω
      N9-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Disconnect the z12 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N9-13 (BDSR) - z12-8 (BDIR) Always Below 1 Ω
      N9-7 (GND) - z12-12 (HTR-) Always Below 1 Ω

    INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Disconnect the IND2 outer mirror RH connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z12-8 (BDIR) - IND2-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      z12-12 (HTR-) - IND2-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

  5. Click here

    INSPECT OUTER MIRROR RH


    1. Remove the outer mirror RH.

      Click here

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror indicator RH on the outer mirror RH.
