DESCRIPTION

C1ABD Short to +B in Buzzer

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on

  • The blind spot monitor sensor is not sending voltage to the buzzer but the buzzer receives voltage above a specified level for a specified period of time

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

  • Rear cross traffic alert buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer)

  • Wire harness or connector
C1ABE Short to GND or Open in Buzzer

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on

  • The current flowing to the buzzer is below a specified value when buzzer operation voltage is being sent to the buzzer

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

  • Rear cross traffic alert buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer)

  • Wire harness or connector

  • When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Clear DTCs

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Slave > Trouble Codes
      OK
      No DTCs are output.
      Result
      Proceed to

      NG

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT BUZZER - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH)


    1. Disconnect the Q34 rear cross traffic alert buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q51 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q34-2 (BZN) - Q51-3 (BUZ) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q34-2 (BZN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q34-1 (BZP) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Q34-1 (BZP) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
      Result
      Proceed to

      NG

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. REPLACE REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT BUZZER (BLIND SPOT MONITOR BUZZER)


    1. Replace the rear cross traffic alert buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer).
