DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when communication error occurs between the radio receiver assembly and combination meter assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (METER GAUGE SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K58 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K58-20 (CNH2) - K4-3 (MSCH) Always Below 1 Ω
      K58-21 (CNL2) - K4-2 (MSCL) Always Below 1 Ω
      K58-20 (CNH2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K58-21 (CNL2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
