DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a communication error occurs between the radio receiver assembly and combination meter assembly.

B1324 Lost Communication with Meter After the radio receiver assembly receives a registration information signal, which is sent by the combination meter assembly when the power switch is on (ACC), 1 or more times, the radio receiver assembly cannot receive the signal for 30 seconds or more

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK DTC (METER / GAUGE SYSTEM)


    1. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      Click here


      1. Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Trouble Codes


      Result

  2. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K73 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the K4 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K73-3 (CNH1) - K4-3 (MSCH) Always Below 1 Ω
      K73-4 (CNL1) - K4-2 (MSCL) Always Below 1 Ω
      K73-3 (CNH1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K73-4 (CNL1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. Click here

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the combination meter assembly.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      1. Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs


    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.
