PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the P23 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the K55 and K56 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the N14 and N29 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Disconnect the O5 and O10 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Disconnect the P26 and Q40 rear header speaker assembly connectors.

    6. Disconnect the P27 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

    7. Disconnect the K57 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.

    8. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the O4 and O9 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the O5 and O10 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the rear speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

      O4-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O4-2- Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      O9-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the front No. 2 speaker assembly with a new or known good one.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

      No DTCs are output.

      Tech Tips


      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.

  4. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front No. 1 speaker assembly.
