LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

After installing the luggage door hinge torsion bar, use your hand to open and close the luggage door. Make sure the luggage door can open and close smoothly.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER

  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX

      Remove the 6 clips.

    2. Disengage the 3 guides and remove the luggage compartment trim box.

  6. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (for Fixed Seat Type)

      *a Fastener

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Disengage the 2 fasteners.

      Remove the 4 clips and front luggage compartment trim cover.

  7. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (for Fold Down Seat Type)

      *a Fastener

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Disengage the 2 fasteners and remove the front luggage compartment trim cover.

  8. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

      Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

    2. B003YEZ

      Disengage the 6 clips and remove the rear luggage compartment trim cover.

  9. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type)

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  11. REMOVE REAR SEAT SUB FLOOR PANEL (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM PARTITION COVER (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM PARTITION COVER (for Fold Down Seat Type)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 room partition cover.

  14. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH

      Disengage the 4 claws and open the 2 covers.

    2. B003XV9

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rope hook assembly.

      Remove the 6 clips.

    4. B003XU4

      Disengage the clip.

    5. Disengage the guide and remove the luggage compartment trim cover LH.

  15. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH

      Disengage the 4 claws and open the 2 covers.

    2. B003XSI

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 rope hook assembly.

    3. B003YAZ

      Remove the 5 clips.

    4. B003YOB

      Disengage the clip.

    5. Disengage the guide and remove the luggage compartment trim cover RH.

  17. REMOVE FRONT UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

      Remove the 7 clips.

    2. B003XPQ

      Disconnect the front upper luggage compartment trim cover as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the front upper luggage compartment trim cover.

    3. B003XXY

      Disengage the 3 guides to remove the front upper luggage compartment trim cover.

  18. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH

      Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage door hinge and the left side of the vehicle body as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

    4. B003XT7N04

      Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the right side of the vehicle body as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

  19. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH

      Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage door hinge and the right side of the vehicle body as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

    3. B003XRVN03

      Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the left side of the vehicle body as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

  20. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR TORSION BAR SUPPORT

      Remove the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the luggage compartment door torsion bar support with a new one.
