DESCRIPTION

The torque sensor converts the rotation torque received from the steering wheel into electric signals and sends them to the power steering ECU assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CONNECTORS


    1. Check the connection of the power steering ECU assembly and power steering link assembly connectors.

    2. Visually inspect the terminals of the power steering ECU assembly and power steering link assembly connectors.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY - TORQUE SENSOR)


    1. Disconnect the C5 power steering ECU assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the C3 torque sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      C3-7 (TQG2) - C5-13 (TQG2) Always Below 1 Ω
      C3-2 (INSN) - C5-9 (INSN) Always Below 1 Ω
      C3-5 (OUCS) - C5-12 (OUCS) Always Below 1 Ω
