PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET


    1. Install the No. 2 parking brake cable support bracket to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

    3. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      19 N*m  { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 parking brake cable support bracket.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly through the parking brake control pedal assembly.

    2. Install the clip to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. Temporarily install the No. 1 wire adjusting nut and lock nut.

      Bend the parking brake control pedal assembly claw.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly through the parking brake control pedal assembly.

    2. Install the clip to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. Temporarily install the No. 1 wire adjusting nut and lock nut.

      Bend the parking brake control pedal assembly claw.
