PARKING BRAKE CABLE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  2. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Pull up the parking brake control pedal assembly claw.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

      *1 No. 1 Wire Adjusting Nut
      *2 Lock Nut

      Remove the lock nut and No. 1 wire adjusting nut from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. A011PO7

      Remove the clip from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    4. Remove the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake control pedal assembly.

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. A011OZ6

      Pull up the parking brake control pedal assembly claw.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

      *1 No. 1 Wire Adjusting Nut
      *2 Lock Nut

      Remove the lock nut and No. 1 wire adjusting nut from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. A011NE6

      Remove the clip from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    4. Remove the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake control pedal assembly.

  5. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 2 bolts, disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

      Remove the nut and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET


    1. A011P45

      Remove the No. 2 parking brake cable support bracket from the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT BRACKET

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 parking brake cable support bracket.
