PARKING BRAKE PEDAL(for LHD) INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY


    1. A00221HN01

      Install the parking brake control pedal assembly to the body, install the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      12.7 N*m  { 130 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Tighten the 3 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the parking brake switch connector.

    3. Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    4. Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly to the body with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WITH MAIN BODY ECU

  3. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER


    1. A0022Z3N01

      Install the parking brake equalizer as shown in the illustration.

    2. A0021IFC01
      *a Groove

      Slide the rubber boot back as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Securely fit the protrusion on the rubber boot into the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly groove.

    3. Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.

    4. Install the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE RETURN WITH DAMPER SPRING


    1. Using needle-nose pliers, install the parking brake return with damper spring.

  5. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL

  6. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL

  7. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR REAR UPPER SUB PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A002099

      Engage the clamp, and install the front upper floor rear sub panel sub-assembly.

    2. A0020PI

      Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      17.5 N*m  { 178 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

    3. Engage the 2 guides to the front floor mat.

    4. A00224K

      Engage the 6 clamps.

  8. INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY

  9. INSTALL NO. 3 DASH PANEL INSULATOR PAD


    1. A0020ZL

      Engage the 2 clips to install the No. 3 dash panel insulator pad.

  10. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 AIR DUCT

    Click here

  11. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR SILENCER PAD LH

    Click here

  12. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 AIR DUCT

    Click here

  13. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET HOOK


    1. Engage the 2 clamps to install the 2 floor carpet hooks.

    2. Engage the 2 clamps to connect the wire harness.

  14. INSTALL ACCELERATOR PEDAL ASSEMBLY

  15. INSTALL ACCELERATOR PEDAL PAD

    Click here

  16. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  17. INSTALL YAWRATE SENSOR BRACKET

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  20. INSPECT BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
