BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER(for LHD) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR STRAINER

  2. INSTALL BRAKE FLUID INFORMATION LABEL

  3. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR FILLER CAP ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR GROMMET

      B003Y0W Lithium Soap Base Glycol Grease

      Apply a light layer of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of 2 new master cylinder reservoir grommets.

    2. Install the 2 master cylinder reservoir grommets to the brake master cylinder assembly.

  5. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY


    1. Mount the brake master cylinder assembly in a vise.

      Note

      Place aluminum plates on the vise to prevent damage to the brake master cylinder assembly.

    2. Install the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly to the brake master cylinder assembly.

      Note

      Do not drop the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

  6. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RING PIN


    1. A011MD5

      Using a 5 mm pin punch and a hammer, tap in the brake master cylinder ring pin to secure the brake master cylinder reservoir assembly.

    2. Remove the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the vise.

  7. INSTALL BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS


    1. Temporarily install the clevis lock nut and brake master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake master cylinder sub-assembly.

      Note

      Fully tighten the clevis lock nut when adjusting the brake pedal height.
