SKID CONTROL ECU(for LHD) REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

While the auxiliary battery is connected, even if the power switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or any door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore, when servicing the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the auxiliary battery is connected.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  4. REMOVE SKID CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. A0021TD

      Remove the bolt and 2 nuts and separate the skid control ECU assembly from the vehicle body.

    2. Disengage the wire harness clamp from the skid control ECU assembly.

    3. A0022Q7N01

      Release each lock lever and disconnect the 2 connectors (A) from the skid control ECU assembly.

    4. Disconnect the connector (B) and disengage the clamp to remove the skid control ECU assembly.
