SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • Do not replace the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly with the auxiliary battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

  • Do not rotate the spiral cable with sensor sub-assembly without the steering wheel assembly with the auxiliary battery connected and the power switch on (IG).

  • Ensure that the steering wheel assembly is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering sensor.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SHIFT PADDLE SWITCH (TRANSMISSION SHIFT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Connect the 2 shift paddle switch (transmission shift switch assembly) connectors to install the No. 1 switch wire to the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies).

    2. Engage the 5 guides to install the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) with No. 1 switch wire to the steering wheel assembly.

    3. Install the 2 shift paddle switches (transmission shift switch assemblies) to the steering wheel assembly with 4 new screws.

      Torque:
      1.7 N*m  { 17 kgf*cm, 15 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the No. 1 switch wire connector.

    5. Connect the No. 1 switch wire connector clamp to the steering wheel assembly.
