CAUTION:
The engine assembly with hybrid vehicle transmission assembly is very heavy. Be sure to follow the procedure described in the repair manual, or the engine lifter may suddenly drop.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSMISSION
REMOVE GENERATOR CABLE
CAUTION:
Wear insulated gloves.
Note
Cover the hole where the generator cable was connected with tape or equivalent (non-residue type) to prevent entry of foreign matter.
Insulate the removed terminals with insulating tape.
When removing the generator cable, make sure not to bend the generator cable base on the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly side.
Release the motor cable side lock of the wiring harness clamp to disconnect the motor cable from the wiring harness clamp as shown in the illustration.

Tech Tips
Place a matchmark on the motor cable before disconnecting the motor cable from the wiring harness clamp.
Disconnect the clamp from the generator cable.

Disconnect the 3 clamps from the engine assembly and hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

Using an insulated tool, remove the 2 bolts and connector cover from the generator cable and hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
Disengage the 2 claws to remove the terminal cap from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
Using an insulated tool, remove the 5 bolts and generator cable from the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.
