HV RELAY ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect SMRB:


      1. B003YNEC33
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Hybrid Battery Junction Block Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        j1-1 (+) - A-1 (CBI) Auxiliary battery voltage is not applied between terminals k2-4 (SMRB) and k2-2 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage is applied between terminals k2-4 (SMRB) and k2-2 (GND) Below 1 Ω

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        k2-4 (SMRB) - k2-2 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 18.4 to 36.3 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the hybrid battery junction block assembly.

    2. Inspect SMRG:


      1. A011P1IC35
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Hybrid Battery Junction Block Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        i2-1 (-) - B-1 (CEI) Auxiliary battery voltage is not applied between terminals k2-1 (SMRG) and k2-2 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage is applied between terminals k2-1 (SMRG) and k2-2 (GND) Below 1 Ω

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        k2-1 (SMRG) - k2-2 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 18.4 to 36.3 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the hybrid battery junction block assembly.

    3. Inspect SMRP:


      1. A011P1IC34
        *a

        Component without harness connected

        (Hybrid Battery Junction Block Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        i2-1 (-) - B-1 (CEI) Auxiliary battery voltage is not applied between terminals k2-3 (SMRP) and k2-2 (GND) 10 kΩ or higher
        Auxiliary battery voltage is applied between terminals k2-3 (SMRP) and k2-2 (GND) 28.5 to 31.5 Ω

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        k2-3 (SMRP) - k2-2 (GND) -40 to 80°C (-40 to 176°F) 112 to 274 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the hybrid battery junction block assembly.
