REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the rear sunshade switch assembly.

        Component without harness connected

        (Rear Sunshade Switch Assembly)

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        4 - 1 Rear sunshade switch assembly pushed and held Below 1 Ω
        4 - 1 Rear sunshade switch assembly not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear sunshade switch assembly.

    2. Check the operation of the rear sunshade switch assembly illumination.


      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the rear sunshade switch assembly as shown in the table below.

        OK
        Auxiliary Battery Connection Result

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 3

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

        		 Illumination comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear sunshade switch assembly.
