REAR SUNSHADE ASSEMBLY INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT REAR WINDOW SHADE ASSEMBLY


    1. Check the operation of the motor.

        Component without harness connected

        (Rear Window Shade Assembly)

        Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the rear window shade assembly.

        OK
        Auxiliary Battery Connection Result

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

        		 Rear sunshade raises

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

        		 Rear sunshade lowers

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear window shade assembly.

    2. Check the operation of the limit switch.

        Component without harness connected

        (Rear Window Shade Assembly)
        *b Limit switch off
        *c Limit switch on

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 4 Limit switch on 10 kΩ or higher
        3 - 4 Limit switch off Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the rear window shade assembly.
