PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD) (for Standard Seat Type)

      Component without harness connected

      (Occupant Detection Sensor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Pad))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat occupied Below 100 Ω
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat not occupied 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the occupant detection sensor (separate type front seat cushion pad).

  2. INSPECT OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR (FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD WITH COVER (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT)) (for Sports Seat Type)

      (Occupant Detection Sensor (Front Seat Cushion Pad with Cover (Front Passenger Seat)))

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat occupied Below 100 Ω
      1 - 3 Front passenger seat not occupied 1 MΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the occupant detection sensor (front seat cushion pad with cover (front passenger seat)).
