REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Fold Down Seat Type) INSTALLATION

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame may injure your hands.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly LH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the guide to install the rear seatback assembly LH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    3. A0020VVC02
      B003YLR Fastener

      Engage the 5 fasteners as shown in the illustration.

    4. Engage the 3 clips.

  2. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Place the rear seatback assembly RH in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Engage the guide to install the rear seatback assembly RH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
    3. A0022Y9C02
      B003YLR Fastener

      Engage the 4 fasteners as shown in the illustration.

    4. Engage the 2 clips.

  3. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH


    1. A0022VP

      Connect the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly RH to the rear seat shoulder belt guide RH.

    2. Engage the claw.

    3. Engage the hook and guide.

    4. Install the rear side seatback assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    5. w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag


      1. Connect the airbag connector.

      2. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the housing lock is correct as shown in the illustration.

      3. Be sure to engage the connectors until they are locked (when locking, make sure that a click sound can be heard).

        Note


        • When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.


        • When engaged, the white housing lock will slide. Be sure not to hold the white housing lock and upper part of the yellow CPA, as it may result in an insecure fit.

  4. INSTALL REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side.

  5. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  6. INSTALL REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the 2 rear seat headrest assemblies.

  7. INSTALL REAR SEAT CENTER HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear seat center headrest assembly.

  8. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new rear seat cushion lock hook as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  9. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the rear seat cushion assembly in the cabin.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    2. Pass the rear seat inner belt assembly through the rubber band of the rear seat cushion assembly.

    3. Pass the 2 rear seat inner belts through the rear seat cushion assembly.

      *a Rear Seat Cushion Frame Hook
      *b Child Restraint Seat Anchor Bracket Hook

      Engage the 2 hooks on the rear side of the rear seat cushion frame to the child restraint seat anchor bracket hooks.

    5. Engage the 2 hooks on the front side of the rear seat cushion frame to the rear seat cushion lock hooks as shown in the illustration.

    6. Confirm that the rear seat cushion assembly is securely installed.

  10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  11. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)

  12. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (w/ Rear Seat Side Airbag)
