FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEAT BELT HOLE COVER


    1. Engage the claw to install the seat belt hole cover to the front seat adjuster assembly.

  2. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING


    1. Engage the 6 hooks to install the front seat cushion spring to the front seat adjuster assembly.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK (for Driver Side)


    1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Install the 2 front seatback hooks to the front seatback spring sub-assembly.

  5. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Front Passenger Side)


    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the front seatback spring sub-assembly to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

    2. Engage the 2 claws.

  7. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR


    1. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seatback edge protectors to the front seatback frame sub-assembly.

  8. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 4 guides to install the separate type front seatback spring assembly to the front seat cushion spring assembly.

    2. Install the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE


    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat wire.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT NO.2 WIRE


    1. Connect each connector and engage each clamp to install the front seat No. 2 wire.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH


    1. Engage the 3 claws to install the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

    2. Install the screw.

    3. Engage the clamp.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH


    1. Engage the 3 claws to install the front seat cushion edge protector RH.

    2. Install the screw.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. A0021WAN01

      Engage the clip B to install the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Engage the clip A.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH


    1. A011NF7

      Engage the clip to install the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

    2. Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the screw.

  15. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH


    1. Engage the 2 guides to install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  16. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  17. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat cushion climate control blower assembly.

    2. Connect the connector.

  18. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BRACKET (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. Install the seat cushion climate control bracket to the seat cushion climate control blower assembly with the 2 screws.

  19. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the seat cushion climate control duct to the seat cushion climate control blower assembly.

  20. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)


    1. Engage the 4 hooks to install the seatback climate control blower.

    2. Install the clip.

    3. Connect the connector.

  21. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (for Standard Seat Type)


    1. A011OJM

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 14 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      Engage the 2 fasteners.

  22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  23. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type)


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

    2. A002114C01
      *a Bracket

      Engage the 3 brackets and install the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the separate type front seatback cover with pad must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.

      • Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the nut.

      • Install the brackets securely.

    3. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Engage the 2 claws to install the seatback climate control blower to the separate type front seatback pad.

  24. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER (for Sports Seat Type)


    1. Temporarily install the front seatback pad with cover.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front seatback pad with cover.

      *a Bracket

      Engage the 2 brackets and install the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • For vehicles with a front seat airbag assembly, the front seatback pad with cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the front seat airbag assembly may not deploy properly.

    3. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Engage the 2 claws to install the seatback climate control blower to the front seatback pad with cover.

  25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT


    1. Engage each claw to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    2. A011PBE

      Close the 2 fasteners.

    3. A011QII

      Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover or front seatback pad with cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover or front seatback pad with cover.

    4. for Standard Seat Type:


      1. A011Q2B

        Using hog ring pliers, install 2 new hog rings.

        Note


        • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.

        • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

        Pass the 2 fasteners through the tabs as shown in the illustration.

    5. for Sports Seat Type:

        Insert the 2 tabs as shown in the illustration.

  26. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER (for Standard Seat Type)


    1. A011NZP

      Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 18 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      Using hog ring pliers, install 3 new hog rings.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.

      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

  27. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type)


    1. Temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

    2. A011N5Q

      Engage the 12 hooks.

    3. A011PTK

      for Front Passenger Side:


      1. Engage the claw to install the connector.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A011PEH

        Connect the connector.

      2. Engage the 3 clamps.

      3. A011NJY

        Engage the clamp.

      4. Connect the connector.

      Engage the fastener to secure the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

  28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION PAD WITH COVER (for Sports Seat Type)


    1. Temporarily install the front seat cushion pad with cover.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the front seat cushion pad with cover.

      Engage the 12 hooks.

      for Front Passenger Side:


      1. Engage the claw to install the connector.

    4. w/ Seat Heater System:

        Connect the connector.

      2. Engage the 3 clamps.

      4. Connect the connector.

  29. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

      Engage the 5 claws and 6 guides to install the front seat inner cushion shield.

        Connect the connector to the front lumbar power seat switch.

      w/o Seat Position Memory System:


      1. Connect the connector to the front power seat switch.

      w/ Seat Position Memory System:


      1. Connect the 2 connectors to the front power seat switch.

    4. A011PVI

      Engage the 3 claws to close the wire harness cover.

    5. A011MSG

      Engage the 2 clamps.

    6. A011MG0

      Engage the 4 claws, 7 guides and clip to install the front seat cushion shield.

  34. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  35. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB


    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  36. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD

      Engage the 3 guides to install the front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield

    2. A011PJ4

      Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    3. A011N86

      Engage the claw and clip.

    4. Install the screw.

  37. CONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (for Standard Seat Type)


    1. w/o Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Connect the rubber band of the separate type front seatback cover.

    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Engage the 2 hooks to connect each rubber band of the separate type front seatback cover.

  38. CONNECT FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER (for Sports Seat Type)


    1. w/o Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Connect the rubber band of the front seatback pad with cover.

    2. w/ Climate Control Seat System:


      1. Engage the 2 hooks to connect each rubber band of the front seatback pad with cover.

  39. INSTALL SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP


    1. Install the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.
