DESCRIPTION

The refreshing seat switch communicates with the air conditioning amplifier assembly via LIN communication.

If the LIN communication system is malfunctioning, the air conditioning amplifier assembly will not operate even if the refreshing seat switch is operated.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG POWER SUPPLY - REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the K99 refreshing seat switch connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K99-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      K99-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch off Below 1 V
      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K99-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH)


    1. Disconnect the K10 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K10-20 (LIN1) - K99-7 (SW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K10-20 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K99-7 (SW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. REPLACE REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH


    1. Temporarily replace the refreshing seat switch with a new or known good one.
