FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM(w/ Memory) SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

    • The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, lifter, front vertical, and lumbar support adjustment functions.

    • The memory call function uses the key ID code of the key to memorize and recall the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses a master key or sub key.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Function
Front power seat switch (driver seat) Based on the switch operation, seat adjuster signals are input to the front power seat switch (driver seat) to adjust the seat accordingly.
Front seat adjuster assembly (driver seat) Slide motor Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (driver seat), and slides the seat forward and rearward.
Front vertical motor Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (driver seat), and raises and lowers the front of the seat cushion.
Lifter motor Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (driver seat), and raises and lowers the seat cushion.
Position sensor Built into each motor and sends position data to the front power seat switch (driver seat) so that it can detect the position at all times.
Separate type front seatback spring assembly (driver seat) Reclining motor Receives a signal from the front power seat switch (driver seat), and tilts the seatback forward and rearward.
Lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat) Receives a signal from the front lumbar power seat switch and operates the built-in motor to adjust the lumbar support.
    Seat memory switch (driver door)

If the seat memory SET switch is being pressed when one of the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switches is pressed, or if one of the M1, M2 or M3 switches is pressed within 3 seconds of pressing the SET switch, the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver door) sends the signals so that the seat position can be stored.

Then, when a seat memory switch (driver door) is pressed, a signal is sent to the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver door) and the seat position changes according to memory.

Front lumbar power seat switch Operates the motor built into the lumbar support adjuster assembly (driver seat) according to switch operation.
  3. SYSTEM OPERATION

The front power seat functions which can be operated with the power seat motors and memorized are shown below.

    Seat Function Driver Seat
    Slide Power and Memory
    Reclining Power and Memory
    Front Vertical Power and Memory
    Lifter Power and Memory
    Lumbar Support adjustment Power

The seat memory switch (driver door) sends memory switch information to the outer mirror control ECU assembly (driver door). Then the information is sent to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN and then an instruction to memorize the seat position is sent to the front power seat switch (driver seat) via CAN. As a result, the seat position is memorized.
