  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the K10 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

      A011MCSN08
    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
K10-5 (IG+) - Body ground R - Body ground Air conditioning amplifier power supply Power switch off Below 1 V
K10-5 (IG+) - Body ground R - Body ground Air conditioning amplifier power supply Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
K10-1 (GND) - Body ground BR - Body ground Air conditioning amplifier ground Always Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction on the wire harness side.

    3. Reconnect the K10 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    4. Check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
K10-10 (LOUT) - Body ground G - Body ground Climate control blower control signal
      • Power switch on (IG)

      • Refreshing seat switch (for LH) on

        (blower position)

      Pulse generation

      (See waveform)

K10-11 (ROUT) - Body ground BE - Body ground Climate control blower control signal
      • Power switch on (IG)

      • Refreshing seat switch (for RH) on

        (blower position)

      Pulse generation

      (See waveform)

K10-20 (LIN1) - Body ground P - Body ground Refreshing seat switch signal Power switch on (IG) Pulse generation

If the result is not as specified, the air conditioning amplifier assembly may be malfunctioning.
