| DTC Code | DTC Name |
|---|---|
| C1A02 | Vehicle Information Not Obtained |
DESCRIPTION
When a new driving support ECU assembly is installed, it receives vehicle specification information (destination, steering wheel position, etc.) from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and memorizes the information.
DTC C1A02 is stored when the driving support ECU assembly receives the vehicle specification information from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) but cannot record it.
| DTC No. | Detection Item | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|---|
| C1A02 | Vehicle Information Not Obtained | Inconsistent vehicle specification information between the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and driving support ECU assembly continues for 1 second or more while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 10 km/h (6 mph) or more. |

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Note
Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.
The pre-crash safety system uses the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the pre-crash safety system after confirming that the communication systems are functioning properly.
PROCEDURE
READ VALUE USING GTS (COUNTRY# (DSS))
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash 2 / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
| Tester Display | Measurement Item | Range | Normal Condition | Diagnostic Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Country# (DSS) | Destination country for driving support ECU assembly | JPN, NA, EURO, AUS, SAFC, OTHER, TWN, CHINA, THAI, GCC or NOFIX | Actual country code | - |

Note
When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
Tech Tips
The country specification information stored in the driving support ECU assembly is determined by the country specification information stored in the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). If the country specification information for the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly matches the vehicle, the country specification information for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and driving support ECU assembly is incorrect and the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and driving support ECU assembly need to be replaced.

CHECK FOR DTCs (PRE-CRASH 2)
Clear the DTCs.
Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
Tech Tips
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
Check for DTCs.
Note
When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
