DESCRIPTION

When the driving support ECU assembly receives a hybrid control system or SFI system malfunction signal from the hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, this DTC is stored.

When DTC C1A40 is stored, the hybrid control system or SFI system DTC will also be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTCs (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

  2. CHECK FOR DTCs (SFI SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      w/ EGR system: Click here

      w/o EGR system: Click here

  3. REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly.

      Note

      When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  4. CHECK FOR DTCs (PRE-CRASH 2)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Pre-Crash 2 > Clear DTCs

    2. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    3. Check for DTCs.
