Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the driver side of RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for the driver side of an LHD vehicle.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR (for Manual Seat)

      *a Guide
      *b Hook

      Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the guide and hook to remove the No. 1 seat slide position sensor protector.

  3. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Manual Seat)

      B003XUN "TORX" Bolt
      B003YHT Connector

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt and seat position airbag sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.

    3. A011PJE

      Disengage the pin to remove the seat position airbag sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Power Seat)

      B003XUN "TORX" Bolt
      B003YHT Connector

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt and seat position airbag sensor with the seat slide position sensor protector.

    3. A011PJE

      Disengage the pin to remove the seat position airbag sensor from the seat slide position sensor protector as shown in the illustration.
