FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) REMOVAL

CAUTION:


  • Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

  • If the front seat airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback pad and separate type front seatback cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage (for Standard Seat Type).

  • If the front seat airbag assembly was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly and front seatback pad with cover with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage (for Sports Seat Type).

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. DISCONNECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER (for Standard Seat Type)

  3. DISCONNECT FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER (for Sports Seat Type)

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD

    Click here

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

  8. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD (for Standard Seat Type)

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK PAD WITH COVER (for Sports Seat Type)

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    When storing the front seat airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

      Disengage the claw and 3 clamps.

      Tech Tips

      Disengage the 3 clamps first.

    2. A00228IC01
      B003Y0W Fastener

      Disengage the fastener and separate the front seat airbag assembly wire harness.

    3. A00239G

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts and front seat airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
