AIRBAG SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:B16A7/97, B16A8/97

DTC Code DTC Name
B16A7/97 Lost Communication with Pedestrian Detection Sensor Bus LH
B16A8/97 Pedestrian Detection Sensor Bus LH Initialization Incomplete

DESCRIPTION

The pedestrian detection sensor LH circuit consists of the airbag sensor assembly and pedestrian protection sensor LH.

The pedestrian protection sensor LH detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the airbag sensor assembly to determine if the pop up hood should be deployed.

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the pedestrian detection sensor LH circuit.
