DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the pedestrian protection sensors detect a pressure higher than the specified value. When this DTC is stored, the airbag sensor assembly sends a signal via CAN communication to display "POP UP HOOD Failure." on the multi-information display to inform the driver of the malfunction.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM POP UP HOOD SENSOR INSPECTION


    1. Perform "Inspect Pop Up Hood Sensor Assembly".

      Tech Tips

      Follow the instructions in "Inspect Pop Up Hood Sensor Assembly", and replace the front bumper energy absorber and pedestrian detection chamber.
