SLIDING ROOF SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the S5 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.

      A0020UAN18

    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      S5-8 (B) - S5-12 (E) V - W-B Auxiliary battery power supply Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      S5-1 (IG) - S5-12 (E) GR - W-B IG power supply Power switch off Below 1 V
      S5-1 (IG) - S5-12 (E) GR - W-B IG power supply Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      S5-12 (E) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the S5 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      S5-7 (OPN) - S5-12 (E) B - W-B Sliding roof motor open Power switch on (IG), OPEN switch on Below 1 V
      S5-7 (OPN) - S5-12 (E) B - W-B Sliding roof motor open Power switch on (IG), OPEN switch off 11 to 14 V
      S5-5 (CLS) - S5-12 (E) SB - W-B Sliding roof motor close Power switch on (IG), CLOSE switch on Below 1 V
      S5-5 (CLS) - S5-12 (E) SB - W-B Sliding roof motor close Power switch on (IG), CLOSE switch off 11 to 14 V
      S5-4 (UP) - S5-12 (E) BE - W-B Sliding roof motor up Power switch on (IG), UP switch on Below 1 V
      S5-4 (UP) - S5-12 (E) BE - W-B Sliding roof motor up Power switch on (IG), UP switch off 11 to 14 V
      S5-6 (DWN) - S5-12 (E) GR - W-B Sliding roof motor down Power switch on (IG), DOWN switch on Below 1 V
      S5-6 (DWN) - S5-12 (E) GR - W-B Sliding roof motor down Power switch on (IG), DOWN switch off 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, the sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) may be malfunctioning.

  2. CHECK INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY AND MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU)
