WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM TERMINALS OF ECU


  1. CHECK AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the K10 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

      Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      K10-5 (IG+) - K10-1 (GND) R - BR Power source (IG) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      K10-5 (IG+) - K10-1 (GND) R - BR Power source (IG) Power switch off Below 1 V
      K10-6 (+B1) - K10-1 (GND) L - BR Auxiliary battery power supply Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      K10-1 (GND) - Body ground BR - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the K10 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      K10-24 (FDEF) - K10-1 (GND) G - BR Wiper Deicer signal Power switch on (IG), Outer mirror heater switch assembly off 11 to 14 V
      K10-24 (FDEF) - K10-1 (GND) G - BR Wiper Deicer signal Power switch on (IG), Outer mirror heater switch assembly on Below 2.2 V
      K10-17 (SWL2) - K10-1 (GND) R - BR Outer mirror heater switch assembly indicator signal Power switch on (IG), Outer mirror heater switch assembly off 11 to 14 V
      K10-17 (SWL2) - K10-1 (GND) R - BR Outer mirror heater switch assembly indicator signal Power switch on (IG), Outer mirror heater switch assembly on Below 1 V
      K11-28 (SW6) - K10-1 (GND) V - BR Outer mirror heater switch assembly signal Power switch on (IG), Outer mirror heater switch assembly off Below 1 V
      K11-28 (SW6) - K10-1 (GND) V - BR Outer mirror heater switch assembly signal Power switch on (IG), Outer mirror heater switch assembly on 11 to 14 V

      If the result is not as specified, the air conditioning amplifier assembly may be malfunctioning.
