LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

After installing the torsion bar, use your hand to open and close the luggage door. Make sure the luggage door can open and close smoothly.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH

  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.

  5. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. Remove the spare wheel cover tray.

  6. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY LH (w/ Spare Tire)


    1. Remove the spare wheel cover tray LH.

  7. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY RH (w/ Spare Tire)


    1. Remove the spare wheel cover tray RH.

  8. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH

      Disengage the 2 claws and open the cover.

    2. B003VSM

      Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.

    3. B003WNH

      Disengage the clip.

    4. Disengage the 5 guides and remove the deck side trim box LH.

  9. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH

      Disengage the 2 claws and open the cover.

    2. B003XA3

      Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.

      Disengage the clip.

    4. Disengage the 5 guides and remove the deck side trim box RH.

  10. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

      Using a clip remover, remove the 3 clips.

    2. B003TN1

      Disengage the 6 clips and remove the rear luggage compartment trim cover.

  11. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (for Fixed Seat Type)

      *a Fastener

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Disengage the 2 fasteners.

    3. B003WEG

      Remove the 4 clips and front luggage compartment trim cover.

  12. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (for Fold Down Seat Type)

      *a Fastener

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. Disengage the 2 fasteners and remove the front luggage compartment trim cover.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 ROOM PARTITION COVER (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  17. REMOVE NO. 1 ROOM PARTITION COVER (for Fold Down Seat Type)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the No. 2 room partition cover.

      Disengage the 2 claws and open the cover.

      Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.

      Remove the 6 clips.

      Disengage the clip.

    5. Disengage the guide and remove the luggage compartment trim cover LH.

  19. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH

      Disengage the 2 claws and open the cover.

      Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.

      Remove the 5 clips.

      Disengage the clip.

    5. Disengage the guide and remove the luggage compartment trim cover RH.

  20. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  21. REMOVE FRONT UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

      Remove the 7 clips.

    2. B003URR

      Disconnect the front upper luggage compartment trim cover as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Do not damage the front upper luggage compartment trim cover.

    3. B003TBX

      Disengage the 3 guides to remove the front upper luggage compartment trim cover.

  22. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH

      Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage door hinge and the left side of the vehicle body as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

    4. B003U5IN04

      Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the right side of the vehicle body as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

  23. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH

      Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage door hinge and the right side of the vehicle body as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

      Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the left side of the vehicle body as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

  24. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR TORSION BAR SUPPORT


    1. B003UOY

      Remove the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the luggage compartment door torsion bar support with a new one.
