    2. Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

Terminal No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
      MB-11(GND1) - Body ground - Ground Always Below 1 Ω
MB-30 (ACC) - Body ground - ACC power supply Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
Engine switch off Below 1 V
      MB-31 (BECU) - Body ground - Battery power supply Always 11 to 14 V
MB-32 (IG) - Body ground - IG power supply Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
Engine switch off Below 1 V

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the MB main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    4. Measure the voltage and check for pulses according to the value(s) in the table below.

Terminal No. (Symbol) Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
K1-5 (TSW) - Body ground P - Body ground Luggage door opening switch signal Luggage door opening switch on Below 1 V
Engine switch off, all doors closed and luggage door opening switch off Pulse generation
K2-17 (TMSW) - Body ground LG - Body ground Luggage door opening cancel switch signal Luggage door opening cancel switch on Below 1 V
Engine switch off, all doors closed and luggage door opening cancel switch off Pulse generation
4D-16 (LGCY) - Body ground G - Body ground Luggage compartment door courtesy light switch assembly input signal Luggage compartment door open Below 1 V
Luggage compartment door closed 11 to 14 V
4D-1 (TR+) - Body ground B - Body ground Luggage compartment door lock relay output signal Luggage door opening switch on Below 1 V
Luggage door opening switch off 11 to 14 V

If the result is not as specified, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) or instrument panel junction block assembly may be malfunctioning.
