ASC SYSTEM Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The stereo component equalizer assembly receives signals from the vehicle sound switch. The ASC system can be turned on and off by operating the vehicle sound switch.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / ASC / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > ASC > Data List

  2. INSPECT VEHICLE SOUND SWITCH


    1. Remove the vehicle sound switch.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE SOUND SWITCH - STEREO COMPONENT EQUALIZER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the K160 stereo component equalizer assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K161-3 (NVI) - K160-5 (VLSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K161-3 (NVI) or K160-5 (VLSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K161-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
