FRONT CONSOLE BOX REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A001HTJ

      Disengage the claw and disconnect the shift hole cover sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. A001KAT

      Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly counterclockwise and remove it.

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH


    1. for Hard Type:


      1. A001I37N01

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 clips in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      2. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the 3 guides to remove the instrument panel finish panel end LH.

    2. for Soft Type:


      1. A001HIZN01

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 3 claws in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      2. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end LH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the 4 guides to remove the instrument panel finish panel end LH.

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH


    1. for Hard Type:


      1. A001J67N01

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 clips in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      2. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end RH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the 3 guides and remove the instrument panel finish panel end RH.

    2. for Soft Type:


      1. A001LB1N01

        Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 clips and 3 claws in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      2. Pull the instrument panel finish panel end RH in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the 4 guides to remove the instrument panel finish panel end RH.

  4. REMOVE FRONT PANEL GARNISH LH


    1. A001INS

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 5 clips to remove the front panel garnish LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT PANEL GARNISH RH


    1. A001JV8

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 5 clips to remove the front panel garnish RH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT


    1. A001KJFN01

      Disengage the clip in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

    2. Pull the front No. 1 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the guide and remove the front No. 1 console box insert.

  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT


    1. A001LA5N01

      Disengage the clip in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

    2. Pull the front No. 2 console box insert in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to disengage the guide and remove the front No. 2 console box insert.

  8. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the screw.

    2. Move the shift lever to N.

    3. Disengage the 11 claws, clip and 7 guides as shown in the illustration.

    4. Disconnect each connector to remove the console panel sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE LEXUS DISPLAY AUDIO CONTROLLER (for Radio and Display Type)

  10. REMOVE REMOTE TOUCH (for Multi-Media Module Receiver Type)

  11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER


    1. A001HTZ

      Remove the 4 screws and instrument panel cup holder.

  12. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A001JAE

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 6 claws, 2 clips and guide and remove the console box register assembly as shown in the illustration.

  13. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect each connector.

    2. A001JSI

      Remove the 6 bolts.

    3. A001JRA

      Pull the rear part of the console box assembly as shown in the illustration to disengage the 2 guides and remove the console box assembly.
