DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives signals from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor via CAN communication.

Tech Tips

If there is a malfunction in the bus lines between the yaw rate and acceleration sensor and the CAN communication system, DTC U0124 (Lost Communication with Lateral Acceleration Sensor Module) is output. When DTC U0124 is output together with C1210 and/or C1336, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0124 first.

These DTCs are also output when the calibration has not been completed.

Note

When replacing the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) or yaw rate and acceleration sensor, perform zero point calibration and store system information.

When U0124 is output together with C1210 and/or C1336, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0124 first.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR


    1. Perform zero point calibration of the yaw rate and acceleration sensor.

  2. PERFORM TEST MODE INSPECTION (SIGNAL CHECK)


    1. Using the GTS, perform a Test Mode (signal check) inspection sensor check and check that all Test Mode (signal check) inspection items change from incomplete to complete.

  3. CHECK YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR INSTALLATION


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor has been installed properly.

    1. Connect the GTS the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Select the Data List using the GTS.

    4. Check the yaw rate and acceleration sensor output value displayed on the GTS.
