REAR ACCELERATION SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

  4. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY (w/o Spare Tire)

  5. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY LH (w/ Spare Tire)

  6. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY RH (w/ Spare Tire)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH

    Click here

  8. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX RH

    Click here

  9. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

  10. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (for Fixed Seat Type)

  11. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (for Fold Down Seat Type)

  12. SEPARATE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH

      Disengage the 2 claws and open the cover.

    2. B003T0V

      Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.

    3. B003VZ5

      Remove the 4 clips.

    4. Separate the luggage compartment trim cover RH from the body.

  13. REMOVE ACCELERATION SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Turn back the luggage compartment trim cover RH until the acceleration sensor assembly can be seen.

    2. B003VAK

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the bolt and acceleration sensor assembly.

      Note


      • Avoid any impact to the acceleration sensor assembly.

      • Do not drop the acceleration sensor assembly. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
