DESCRIPTION

The ECM and engine stop and start ECU send and receive signals via CAN communication.

If a communication error occurs between the ECM and engine stop and start ECU, the ECM stores this DTC.

  1. The engine switch is on (IG) and battery voltage is 10 V or more.

  2. No communication between ECM and engine stop and start ECU

  3. 1.16 seconds or more

Tech Tips

After performing repair, clear the DTCs and perform the following procedure to check that DTCs are not output.


  1. Check the battery voltage is 10 V or more.

  2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

  3. Check for DTCs again.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC AND PERFORM ROAD TEST


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Powertrain > Transmission > Clear DTCs

      Tech Tips

      Write down the currently output DTCs before clearing them.

    2. Start the engine and drive the vehicle at a low speed.

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (DTC U110387)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Trouble Codes.


      Powertrain > Transmission > Trouble Codes
    5. Read the DTCs using the GTS.
