  1. SYSTEM CHECK


    1. Confirm the vehicle specification.

  2. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.

  3. INSPECT SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K26 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the M1 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the S9 lane departure warning camera connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K26-12 (DIST) - M1-6 (SPSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K26-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K26-12 (DIST) or M1-6 (SPSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly with a new one.

      Note

      When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  6. CHECK LANE DEPARTURE ALERT SYSTEM (LANE DEPARTURE ALERT INDICATOR)


    1. Check that the lane departure alert indicator illuminates on the combination meter assembly when the lane departure alert system is turned on the lane departure alert main switch.

  9. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SPIRAL WITH SENSOR CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY - LANE DEPARTURE WARNING CAMERA)


    1. Disconnect the K26 spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the S9 lane departure warning camera connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K26-12 (DIST) - S9-4 (LKSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K26-2 (ECC) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K26-12 (DIST) or S9-4 (LKSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
