PROCEDURE
REMOVE PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLANGE YOKE ASSEMBLY
Using SST and a hammer, loosen the staked part of the lock nut.
Note
Be sure to use SST with the tapered surface facing the shaft.
Do not grind the tip of SST with a grinder or other device.
Completely loosen the staked part of the lock nut when removing it
Do not damage the threads of the shaft.
Attach SST.

Using SST and a 30 mm deep socket wrench, remove the lock nut.
Remove SST.
Tap the automatic transmission flange yoke assembly with a plastic-faced hammer to remove it.

Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal from the automatic transmission flange yoke assembly.
Note
Do not damage the automatic transmission flange yoke assembly.
REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REAR OIL SEAL
Using SST, tap out the automatic transmission rear oil seal.
INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REAR OIL SEAL
Coat the lip of a new automatic transmission rear oil seal with MP grease.

Using SST and a hammer, tap in the automatic transmission rear oil seal.

INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLANGE YOKE ASSEMBLY
Coat the lip of a new oil seal with MP grease.

Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal.

| 0 to 0.3 mm (0 to 0.0118 in.) |
Install the automatic transmission flange yoke assembly.

| *b | Turn |
Set SST.
Using SST and a 30 mm deep socket wrench, install and tighten a new lock nut.
Using a chisel and hammer, securely stake the nut.
INSTALL PROPELLER WITH CENTER BEARING SHAFT ASSEMBLY
