SHIFT LEVER ADJUSTMENT

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FKS)

2. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 8AR-FTS)

   Click here

3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

   Click here

4. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION

   
   

   1. Move the shift lever to N.

   2. 

      *a

      Lever

      Remove the nut and separate the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly from the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly.

   3. 

      *1	Transmission Control Shaft Lever RH
      *a	P
      *b	R
      *c	N

      Turn the transmission control shaft lever RH counterclockwise until it stops, then turn it clockwise 2 notches.

   4. 

      *a	Lever
      	Pushing the lever rearward

      Temporarily install the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly to the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly with the nut.

   5. Tighten the nut while lightly pushing the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly rearward.

      Torque:

      12.8 N*m  { 131 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not push the lever of the transmission floor shift assembly too hard.

5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

6. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FKS)

   Click here

7. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for 8AR-FTS)

   Click here

8. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION

   Click here

9. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK (for 2GR-FKS)

10. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK (for 8AR-FTS)
