ENGINE OIL COOLER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. CONNECT NO. 5 ENGINE WIRE


    1. Attach the 2 clamps to connect the No. 5 engine wire.

  2. INSTALL OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY


    1. Apply a light coat of engine oil to 2 new O-rings.

    2. Install the 2 O-rings to the stiffening crankcase assembly.

      Install the oil cooler assembly to the stiffening crankcase assembly with the 4 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }
    4. A01MX9QC01
      *1 No. 4 Water By-pass Hose
      *2 No. 5 Water By-pass Hose
      *a LH Side
      *b Upper Side
      *c 45°
      *d Paint

      Connect the No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose to the oil cooler assembly with the 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Install the clips so that they are positioned as shown in the illustration.

  3. INSTALL NO. 5 ENGINE WIRE


    1. Connect the 2 No. 5 engine wire connectors.

  4. INSTALL COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY

  5. INSTALL EXHAUST MANIFOLD CONVERTER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. ADD ENGINE OIL

  7. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL

  8. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK
