ENGINE OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TEMPERATURE SENSOR


    1. Install a new gasket to the temperature sensor.

    2. B003URFC01
      *a Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length

      Using a 19 mm ball joint lock nut wrench, install the temperature sensor to the stiffening crankcase assembly.

      Torque
      Specified tightening torque
      19.6 N*m (200 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf)

      Note

      If a temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

      Tech Tips


      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a ball joint lock nut wrench (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.91 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 162 mm (6.38 in.)): 10.2 N*m (104 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)

    3. Connect the temperature sensor connector.

  2. ADD ENGINE OIL

  3. CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL

  4. INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  6. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE
