THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL THERMOSTAT


    1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.

    2. B0002G8C03
      *a Jiggle Valve

      Install the thermostat to the water inlet housing sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      The jiggle valve may be set within 10° on either side of the prescribed position.

  2. INSTALL WATER INLET


    1. Install the water inlet with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

    2. Engage the 3 clamps to connect the wire harness to the water inlet.

  3. CONNECT NO. 4 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Connect the No. 4 radiator hose to the water inlet and slide the clip to secure it.

  4. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU BOX


    1. Install the engine room ECU box with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      12.5 N*m  { 127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }
      Nut
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    2. Engage the claw to connect the connector holder to the engine room ECU box.

    3. Engage the claw to connect the engine wire harness to the engine room ECU box.

    4. Connect the 3 connectors to the connector holder.

  5. INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT

  7. INSTALL ECM

  8. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  9. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK

    Click here

  10. INSTALL CENTER NO. 4 ENGINE UNDER COVER
