OIL LEVEL SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL OIL LEVEL SENSOR BRACKET


    1. Install the engine oil level sensor bracket.

  2. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR


    1. Install the engine oil level sensor with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    2. Remove any foreign material from the connector mounting hole in the oil pan.

    3. Apply engine oil to the O-ring, and then insert the connector into the hole.

      Install a new clip to the engine oil level sensor as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • If oil is present on the connector surface, wipe it clean with a piece of cloth or the like.

      • Do not spray brake cleaner on the connector surface or use cleaner solvent to clean the connector.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. ADD ENGINE OIL

  5. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK

  6. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER

  8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE
