OIL PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE TO ENGINE STAND

  2. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY (for High Pressure)

  4. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

    Click here

  5. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  6. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH

    Click here

  7. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 5 bolts and V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY

  9. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

    Click here

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  11. REMOVE INJECTOR DRIVER

    Click here

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE COVER

    Click here

  13. REMOVE WATER INLET

    Click here

  14. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  15. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

    Click here

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  17. REMOVE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  18. REMOVE OIL STRAINER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  19. REMOVE NO. 1 OIL PIPE

    Click here

  20. REMOVE NO. 2 OIL PIPE

    Click here

  21. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    Click here

  22. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  23. REMOVE SPARK PLUG TUBE GASKET

    Click here

  24. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN OR BELT COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.

    2. B003UX0

      Remove the 25 bolts and 2 nuts.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Remove the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly by prying between the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly and cylinder head sub-assembly, cylinder head LH or cylinder block sub-assembly with a screwdriver.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the cylinder head, cylinder block sub-assembly and timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the gasket.

  25. REMOVE TIMING GEAR CASE OR TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL

      *1 Wooden Block
      *2 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver and wooden block, pry out the timing gear case or timing chain case oil seal.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the timing chain or belt cover sub-assembly and oil pump rotor set.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
