DESCRIPTION
While the engine is being cranked, current flows from terminal STAR of the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) to the park/neutral position switch assembly and to terminal STA of the ECM (STA signal).

Check if the engine can be cranked.

Connect the GTS to DLC3.
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / All Data / Starter Signal.

Remove the ST NO. 1 relay from the No. 2 engine room relay block and N0. 2 junction block assembly.
Disconnect the starter assembly connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
