INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT
Tech Tips
When reusing the V-ribbed belt, check the entire belt for wear and cracks on the ribs and back of the belt. If the V-ribbed belt is worn to the extent that the cords are exposed or chunks are missing from the ribs, replace the bolt.

Set the V-ribbed belt onto each pulley as shown in the illustration.
Note
Make sure the back of the V-ribbed belt is set to the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly and engine water pump assembly.
Attach a wrench to the hexagonal portion (A) of the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly as shown in the illustration, and while rotating the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly counterclockwise, remove the 5 mm bi-hexagon wrench.

Check that the V-ribbed belt is set correctly to each pulley.
Start the engine and check that the V-ribbed belt turns smoothly and quietly.
