Tech Tips
Use the table below to help determine the cause of problem symptoms. If multiple suspected areas are listed, the potential causes of the symptoms are listed in order of probability in the "Suspected Area" column of the table. Check each symptom by checking the suspected areas in the order they are listed. Replace parts as necessary.
Inspect the fuses and relays related to this system before inspecting the suspected areas below.

*: If the vehicle has not been driven for a long time, the battery charge will be low and stop and start control operation will be prohibited. In this case, recharge the battery, initialize the integrated current value* and drive the vehicle until stop and start control operation is permitted (approximately 15 to 40 minutes).
*: Disconnect the cables from the battery, wait for 30 seconds or more and then reconnect the cables.
Tech Tips
When the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, stop and start control is prohibited for a certain amount of time. After connecting the cable, drive the vehicle until stop and start control is permitted (approximately 15 to 40 minutes).
